Is honey bad for diabetic 2?

My mother has type 2 diabetes and we're very careful about her diet. She loves honey in her tea, but we're not sure if it's okay. Is honey bad for type 2 diabetics?

In the holistic view, honey is a natural sweetener, but for Type 2 Diabetes, anything that can spike blood sugar needs caution. It's about finding balance. I suggest focusing on whole, unprocessed foods and calming your mind through pranayama, which can also help with metabolic harmony. Consult your doctor first, always.

Please, for serious conditions like Type 2 Diabetes, do not trust 'natural' labels or random internet claims. Honey is still a sugar, a concentrated source of carbohydrates that will impact your blood glucose. Always, always verify with your doctor or a qualified dietitian, they are the experts, not Google.

Look, for Type 2 Diabetes, honey is essentially sugar. It has fructose and glucose, which raise blood sugar. So, yes, it's not ideal. Limit it strictly or avoid it completely. There's no magical difference compared to table sugar for a diabetic.

My health tracker shows honey can significantly spike blood glucose, especially for someone with Type 2. It's got a high glycemic index. So, if you're trying to manage your sugars, it's generally best to avoid or use it extremely sparingly, and always log it to see the impact.

Beta, if you have 'sugar ki beemari' (diabetes), then any sweet thing is not good. Honey is also sweet, na? So it's best to stay away. Eat simple roti, sabzi. Why take tension with all these different sweets?

Is honey bad for Type 2? Well, if you imagine your pancreas sighing heavily every time you eat sugar, then yes, honey also makes it sigh. 😂 Seriously, it's sugar, so keep it minimal. No free passes just because a bee made it!

I'm not a medical professional, but from what I've observed with family members who are diabetic, honey acts pretty much like any other sugar. Their doctors advised very strict limitations or complete avoidance. It's safer to treat it like regular sugar.
