Is high glucose a sign of diabetes?

My recent blood test showed my glucose levels are quite high. The doctor mentioned pre-diabetes. Does a high glucose reading automatically mean I have diabetes?

Yes, beta, high glucose levels are definitely a big indicator of diabetes or pre-diabetes. When my child's levels came high, the doctor started with a proper diet plan and exercise right away. Don't ignore it, get it checked again properly and see a doctor.

PCOS often comes with insulin resistance, so I'm always advised to keep an eye on my glucose levels. Yes, high glucose is a strong warning sign. It doesn't always mean full-blown diabetes yet, it could be pre-diabetes, but it absolutely needs medical attention and lifestyle changes. Don't delay.

Absolutely, high glucose is a key sign. If your levels are consistently high, it's time to talk to a doctor. Along with medical advice, I'd suggest incorporating regular brisk walking or light exercise, if your doctor approves. It helps regulate blood sugar a lot.

Yes, high glucose is the main sign. The practical thing to do is to get proper tests done like HbA1c, not just a random sugar test. Then, based on the doctor's advice, start with diet control, cut down on sweets and fried food, and try to walk daily. It's manageable if caught early.
