Is hepatitis a venereal disease?

My aunt mentioned something about venereal diseases and hepatitis in the same breath. Is hepatitis A considered a venereal disease? I always thought those were different types of infections.

Initially, I also thought a lot of things were venereal diseases, but then I researched and spoke to a doctor. Hepatitis has different types, and not all are sexually transmitted. It's good to get clarity like this!

Actually, it depends on the type. Hepatitis B and C are often associated with sexual transmission and sharing needles. But Hepatitis A spreads mostly through unsafe food/water. So, it's not a blanket 'yes' for all types, always check what type you are referring to.

No, not all forms of Hepatitis are venereal diseases. Hepatitis B and C can be sexually transmitted, along with blood contact. Hepatitis A, however, is typically spread through contaminated food or water. It's important to differentiate.

Haan, toh dekho, Hepatitis ke types hote hain. Jaise B aur C, woh sexual contact se ya blood se fail sakte hain. But A usually contaminated food ya water se hota hai. So, not all types are venereal, na.

Nah, not really, depends on the type. My cousin got Hepatitis A once, and doc said it was from outside food, not anything like that. Hepatitis B and C are different, can be spread sexually. So, it's not one thing.

For good health, understanding diseases is key. Hepatitis B and C can be sexually transmitted, yes. But Hepatitis A is more about hygiene and what you eat/drink. So, maintaining good diet, clean food and overall fitness helps with immunity, but for transmission modes, they are distinct.

My doctor explained this clearly. Hepatitis refers to liver inflammation. Hepatitis B and C can be transmitted sexually, making them 'venereal' in that context. However, Hepatitis A is mainly fecal-oral, so it's not considered an STD. Each type has its own modes of transmission, so it's not a simple 'yes' or 'no'.
