Is hepatitis a chronic disease?

My doctor mentioned hepatitis A recently. I'm trying to understand if it's a disease that stays with you for a long time, like a chronic disease, or if it's more temporary?

I was so scared when I first got my reports, thinking my liver was damaged forever. Did anyone else get that sudden wave of panic before finding out it's actually not chronic?

Trust me, it is absolutely not chronic. I had it a few years ago and was so worried, but the doctor reassured me it clears up completely on its own.

Nahi yaar, Hepatitis A chronic nahi hoti hai. Haan, B and C chronic ho sakti hain, but A toh acute hai aur aaram se thik ho jata hai na.

It's an acute illness. You might lose a couple of weeks of work due to weakness, but it won't become a lifelong health issue. Just rest and recover.

No, it's not chronic, but please do not take it lightly. I had severe liver swelling and needed hospitalization, so make sure you are under a doctor's care.

No, it's temporary. Just avoid strenuous gym workouts or lifting weights until your doctor confirms your liver enzymes are back to normal.

It is acute, not chronic like high blood pressure. But keeping a healthy lifestyle and getting regular checkups is still key to making a full recovery.

I had Hepatitis A in college and it cleared up in about three weeks. In my experience, it is a short-term thing, but always check with your doctor.

No, Hepatitis A is strictly acute. Unlike Hep B or C, it does not cause chronic liver infection or permanent damage. Simple supportive care is all that is needed.

When we were at Apollo, the gastroenterologist clearly explained that Hep A never becomes chronic. Still, ask your doctor for a clear explanation of your LFT reports.

It is not a chronic disease like diabetes. If you get it, just be careful with your diet and follow your doctor's food guidelines strictly to avoid liver strain.

Don't worry at all, it is not chronic. It is just a temporary infection and your liver will heal completely. Just take good rest, okay?

No, it is an acute condition that resolves on its own. Just drink clean water, eat light, and your body will recover beautifully without any long-term issues.
