Is hemangioma in liver dangerous?

I log all my health parameters on my apps and love tracking medical data. From what I have tracked and read, liver hemangiomas are benign and extremely common, often found totally by accident during regular ultrasounds. Unless it grows very large and starts pushing on other organs, it's harmless. Just keep a digital record of your annual scans to track any size changes.

No need to panic and spend thousands on expensive MRI scans immediately unless your specialist specifically asks for it. A basic ultrasound at any decent local lab costs around 800 to 1200 rupees and is usually enough to identify it. Save your money, get a doctor's opinion first, and they will tell you if any follow-up is actually required.

I have had a 3cm hemangioma in my liver for the last twelve years, and I am absolutely fine. My doctor told me it is just a birthmark-like thing inside the liver and doesn't turn into cancer. My only tip is to get a routine ultrasound done once a year just to check if the size is stable, and then totally forget about it.

Oh god, please don't stress too much about this! I know 'tumor' or 'mass' sounds super scary on reports, but a hemangioma is literally just a harmless clump of blood vessels. It won't disturb your daily life at all. Just show the report to a good doc once to be sure, and then go enjoy your day!
