Is heart attack left or right arm?

My uncle had a heart attack recently, and he kept complaining about his arm hurting. I've heard conflicting things, some say left, some say right. Which arm is it usually, left or right, when someone is having a heart attack?

I used to feel so anxious whenever my left arm ached, thinking it was a heart attack. Usually, pain radiating down the left arm is the classic sign, but sometimes it can be on both sides too.

I totally get it, any arm pain can make you worry about your heart. While left arm pain is more famous, pain can actually happen in the right arm, neck, or jaw too. Please see a doctor if you feel unwell.

Listen, left arm pain is the classic symptom we hear about, but a heart attack can also cause pain in the right arm or even just the upper stomach. If you are experiencing sudden heavy chest pressure alongside this, go to the hospital right away.

Left arm pain is the most common symptom! But don't ignore it even if it's the right side. It's always best to get it checked out by a doc if you feel heavy pressure in your chest.

Usually, the pain is felt in the left arm, but the body has its own ways of sending signals. Stay calm, pray, and if you or a loved one feels heavy pressure in the chest with arm pain, seek medical help immediately.

It is usually the left arm, but can spread to both sides. Any severe squeezing chest pain with arm numbness is a medical emergency.
