Is groundnut good for kidney?

My brother has some kidney issues and has to be careful with his diet. He loves groundnuts as a snack. Are groundnuts good for kidney health, or should he avoid them?

Groundnuts have high phosphorus which can put stress on weak kidneys. You can have a tiny handful occasionally if you are healthy, but if you have any kidney issues or swelling in your feet, please see a doctor immediately instead of relying on home tips.

I eat a few groundnuts to manage my mid-meal hunger, but since I have diabetes, I have to be careful about kidney health too. High protein and phosphorus in nuts can sometimes load the kidneys. Please get your kidney function and HbA1c tested regularly and ask your doctor.

My uncle had some kidney issues and his dietitian specifically told him to avoid peanuts because of the high potassium content. If your kidneys are perfectly healthy, a small handful of groundnuts is fine, but do consult a specialist if there is any history.

Haan, groundnuts toh waise healthy hote hain, par kidney problems mein doctor mana karte hain na, kyunki inme phosphorus aur potassium zyada hota hai. Ek baar proper checkup karwa lo, zyada behtar rahega.

I read online that peanuts can cause kidney stones and now I am so scared to eat them. Has anyone else felt worried about this, or is it okay to eat them in very small amounts? Please let me know.

For normal healthy people, peanuts are a cheap and great source of healthy fats. But if there is already a kidney condition, you must avoid them completely to prevent phosphorus buildup. Just consult your general doctor and stick to their diet chart.

Look, if you already have kidney stones or kidney disease, stay away from groundnuts because they contain oxalates and phosphorus. Don't self-diagnose based on internet posts, go to a good hospital and get your blood reports checked.
