Is green tea good for your liver?

My father recently had some liver issues and the doctor advised him to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Someone in our family suggested green tea. Can it actually be good for the liver?

I always maintain a strict vegetarian diet with minimal oil, and I find a cup of green tea after lunch helps with digestion. However, we should be careful not to consume too much of it, as balanced food is always better for the liver than any single drink. Simple, fresh home-cooked meals are the ultimate liver detox.

Hello, I am new here and wanted to ask about this. I was recently diagnosed with a mild fatty liver and my friend suggested green tea. Is it really safe to drink it daily, or should I wait to ask my doctor during my next checkup? I would be very grateful for any gentle advice.

While many online articles praise green tea for liver health, please be careful because high doses of green tea extracts can actually stress the liver. Before starting any regular herbal regimen, it is highly recommended to get a Liver Function Test (LFT) and consult a physician to ensure it is safe for you.

Please do not make the mistake I made by ignoring mild abdominal discomfort and trying to cure it with green tea and home remedies. By the time I went to the doctor, my liver enzymes were highly elevated and it took months of strict medication to recover. Get a proper clinical checkup immediately if you feel unwell.

Look, green tea is just a basic beverage, not a medicine for your liver. If you keep eating junk food and drinking alcohol, green tea cannot save your liver. Eat simple food, drink enough water, and if you have liver issues, go to a real doctor instead of relying on tea.

I read a scary post saying that concentrated green tea supplements can cause liver damage, and now I am quite anxious. I drink normal brewed green tea twice a day, but now I keep wondering if it is doing more harm than good. Has anyone else felt worried about this, or is brewed tea completely safe?

My elders always suggested having warm cumin water or ginger water for a healthy digestive system and liver. While green tea is popular nowadays and generally fine in moderation, we must not substitute it for proper medical care. It is always wise to consult your family doctor before making any major diet changes.
