Is golf good for mental health?

I've been feeling quite stressed with work lately, and a friend suggested taking up golf to relax. Can playing golf actually be good for mental health, or is it just another hobby?

I was dealing with severe burnout last year and took up golf on weekends. Walking on the green grass for hours in silence really helped clear my mind. It did wonders for my anxiety levels.

While golf is good for peace of mind, club memberships in India are incredibly expensive. If budget is an issue, a daily long walk in a local public park or playing badminton gives you similar mental benefits at zero cost.

Yes, golf is excellent for calming the mind. Being out in nature and walking long distances really helps lower stress hormones.

If you have the money for it, sure! I am too busy and tired trying to sleep, but walking in a quiet green field without looking at a phone screen definitely sounds like a mental health upgrade.

Actually yaar, any outdoor sport is amazing for your mental peace. With golf, you get to disconnect from the city noise and just focus on one swing, which is very therapeutic.
