Glycerin is mostly for applying on skin ho na, we don't drink it. Eating or drinking it can be very harmful for the liver and stomach. Keep it only for external use, that is safe.
I only use glycerin mixed with rose water for my dry skin in winter. I have never heard of anyone taking it internally, and I personally wouldn't risk doing that.
Liver and kidney health are very sensitive, especially if you have high blood pressure. Never ingest non-food chemicals like glycerin. Stick to your prescribed medications and get regular liver panels done.
My child once licked some glycerin from the dresser. I panicked and called our pediatrician immediately. They told me small cosmetic amounts won't harm, but we must keep such bottles strictly out of reach.
I was reading about cosmetic ingredients and saw that pure glycerin is an alcohol derivative. While it is great for skin hydration, swallowing it in large quantities can definitely put stress on your liver.
It must be so scary if you or a loved one accidentally swallowed something and you are now panicking about liver damage. Please don't beat yourself up, but do seek immediate medical help to be safe.
Any chemical ingestion can have adverse effects on the liver. When my cousin had a similar issue, the doctors at Apollo ran blood tests. You should go to a good hospital and ask your doctor clearly.
Glycerin ko consumne nahi karte hai bhai, yeh skin ke liye hoti hai. Haan, agar galti se thoda pet me chala gaya hai toh doctor ko dikha lo na, risk kyu lena liver ke saath.
If someone ingested glycerin by mistake and is feeling unwell, don't ignore it. Liver function tests can cost quite a bit but are necessary. Go to a government hospital clinic for affordable checkups immediately.
Glycerin in cough syrups or processed food is very minimal, but drinking pure chemical glycerin is a big no-no! Keep your liver happy with fresh juices and home-cooked food instead.
