Is glaucoma related to diabetes?

My husband has had diabetes for many years, and his eye doctor mentioned something about checking for glaucoma during his last visit. I'm wondering, is glaucoma related to diabetes, or is it a separate condition he needs to worry about?

Diabetes can affect many parts of the body, including the eyes. Our elders always warned about managing sugar well to protect the eyes. So, it is possible there is a connection. But for something serious like glaucoma, only a doctor can properly explain the relation and advise on treatment, not just home remedies.

Yes, actually, they can be related. Diabetes can increase your risk of developing glaucoma. I regret not taking my diabetes seriously earlier, and now I have to manage eye complications too. Please, if you have diabetes, get regular eye check-ups. Don't ignore it like I did; it's vital for your vision.

Yes, there is a known link. Diabetes can make you more susceptible to glaucoma. That's why it's extra important for diabetics to have regular, comprehensive eye exams. Don't wait for symptoms; get it checked proactively to ensure your eye health and prevent serious vision loss.

Haan, diabetes aur aankhon ki bimariyan ka connection hai. High sugar se aankhon ko nuksan ho sakta hai, aur glaucoma ka risk badh jata hai. Agar diabetes hai toh aankhon ka regularly checkup karwana zaroori hai. Simple baat hai, apni health ka dhyan rakho.

I've explored many health topics, and the link between diabetes and eye conditions like glaucoma is quite established. Diabetes can damage blood vessels in the eyes, increasing pressure and risk. While home remedies help general wellness, for this, strict medical management of diabetes and regular eye check-ups are non-negotiable. Be practical and follow the doctors.
