Is flu still contagious after fever breaks?

My husband had the flu, and his fever finally broke this morning. He's feeling a bit better, but I'm worried if he can still pass it on to me or our kids. Is flu still contagious after the fever breaks?

Even after fever is gone, it's good to be careful for a few more days. The body needs more time to fully recover and stop spreading the germs.

It's tough when you feel better but still have to isolate, right? I've been there. But yeah, you can still spread it for a bit even after the fever breaks. Don't push yourself too soon.

Oh, yes beta, after fever, you still need to be careful. My mother always told us to rest a few extra days, even if we felt fine. The body is still fighting. So take your time.

Trust me, I went back to work after my fever broke and everyone got sick. Big mistake. You're still contagious for a couple of days at least. Just stay home and fully recover, please.

Totally normal to worry about this! I used to panic. But yeah, generally you can still be contagious for 1-2 days after the fever completely subsides. So, take it easy, don't rush back into things.

Yeah, usually it is. My doc told me you're still shedding the virus even if the fever is gone. So, better to chill at home for a few more days rather than spread it around college, lol.
