Is flu and fever the same?

My son has been having fever and body ache, and we're not sure if it's just a fever or the flu. Are flu and fever the same thing, or are they different conditions?

Ha ha, not same at all yaar. Fever is like a symptom, flu is the whole party, body ache, cough, runny nose, full package. Feels like your body is rebelling. Been through it too many times.

Fever is a sign, flu is a condition. When I have fever, I focus on light, sattvic food like khichdi and clear soups. For flu, lots of Vitamin C from fruits like oranges, but always freshly squeezed juice, not packaged.

No, they are different, beti. Fever is just body ka temperature badhna. Flu has more symptoms like sardi, khansi. For flu, I usually make kadha with ginger and tulsi. It really helps thoda. For high fever, always see doc.

I always get confused between the two. Like, can you have flu without fever? Or fever without flu? Does anyone else get this anxious about small health details?

Ho na, they are not the same thing. Fever is just one part of it, like when your body is fighting something. Flu is the infection itself with all the other discomforts. Hope you're feeling okay!

Naah, totally different! Fever is just your body heating up. Flu is when you feel like you've been run over by a truck, and all you want is hot soup and maybe some ice cream if your throat allows it. My immunity needs an upgrade lol.
