Is fever common with norovirus?

My younger sister got sick after school with vomiting and diarrhea. The school nurse said it's probably norovirus. She also has a low fever. Is fever common with norovirus, or should I be more concerned?

Oh, that's something that would definitely make me overthink! Yes, from what I've read and heard, a low-grade fever can be quite common with norovirus, accompanying the other unpleasant symptoms like vomiting and diarrhea. It's your body's way of fighting back. If you're feeling unwell, please don't hesitate to reach out to a doctor to ease your mind, just like I would.

Yeah, norovirus often brings its friend Fever along for the ride! It's like a package deal sometimes, unfortunately. Usually, it's not a super high fever, more like your body's internal thermostat decided to go up a notch or two. So, don't be surprised if you feel a bit warm, it's just part of the viral party.

My health app actually shows that fever can indeed be a symptom alongside other norovirus manifestations. It's often a mild fever, not usually extremely high. The key is monitoring your body temperature and hydration levels. If you're tracking your symptoms, you can easily share that data with a doctor for a more informed consultation.

Yes, when my child had norovirus, a slight fever was definitely present, along with the other symptoms like vomiting and feeling generally unwell. It usually wasn't a very high fever, but enough to make them feel uncomfortable. The important thing is to keep them hydrated and make sure they get enough rest. Always check with the pediatrician if you're concerned.

From my experience, and seeing it around, yes, a slight fever does often accompany norovirus. It's just the body working to fight off the infection, nothing too alarming unless it gets very high or lasts too long. Rest and fluids are usually what helps most. We've all gone through these viral things, my child.
