Is feeling sleepy after eating a sign of diabetes?

After almost every meal, I feel very sleepy, especially after lunch. My father has diabetes, so I'm a bit worried. Is this a common sign of diabetes, or just normal laziness?

Yes, it absolutely can be! I used to feel so lethargic and sleepy after meals, especially lunch. My doctor explained it could be due to blood sugar spikes. Try to avoid very carb-heavy meals and add more protein and fiber. And definitely get your sugar levels checked, fasting and post-meal.

Dude, I always feel sleepy after eating, especially after a big biryani! I thought that was normal, isn't it? Like, food coma? But if it's a sign of diabetes, then maybe I should worry. My parents also tell me to sleep less.

For me, before I was diagnosed, that post-meal sleepiness was a big sign. My blood sugar used to spike very high after eating, and then I'd feel really drained. It's called 'postprandial somnolence'. It's crucial to manage your sugar intake and talk to a doctor. Don't ignore it.

Oh my god, I feel this all the time! After lunch, I just want to crash. Is it really a diabetes symptom? Does anyone else feel like their energy just completely drains after eating? It's making me really anxious now!

Haan na, after eating thoda neend aana is common, especially after a big meal. But if it's too much, like you can't even keep your eyes open, then it's a good idea to get your blood sugar checked. Hormones change karte hain body mein, so best to be careful.

I totally get why you'd be worried. Feeling sleepy after eating can happen to anyone, especially after a heavy meal. But when it's persistent or very extreme, it's definitely something to look into. It could be related to blood sugar regulation. Don't panic, but do talk to a doctor.
