Is feeling hungry in the morning a sign of diabetes?

I wake up feeling really hungry most mornings, sometimes even a bit shaky if I don't eat something soon. My wife says it's normal, but my brother has diabetes so I'm a bit worried. Is feeling very hungry in the morning a sign of diabetes?

I can only share my experience. I used to wake up starving every morning, literally feeling like I hadn't eaten in days. Turns out, it was just my body's routine, and having a good balanced dinner helped. I never had diabetes, but everyone is different.

In our family, we always say a good breakfast is important after the night fast. So feeling hungry is natural. My aunt used to say 'eat like a king in the morning'. But if you have other symptoms or are worried about diabetes, please talk to a doctor, they know best.

Arre beta, morning mein bhookh lagna toh natural hai! Poori raat kuch nahin khaaya hota hai. Humare zamane mein toh subah subah achhe se nashta karte the. Lekin agar yeh bahut zyaada hai ya aapko thakan bhi lag rahi hai, toh doctor ko dikha lena chahiye.

My son, when he was in his teens, always felt super hungry in the mornings. We were worried about diabetes, but the doctor said it was just a growth spurt and high metabolism. He advised a protein-rich breakfast. But for adults, it's wise to consult a doctor.
