Is fatigue a sign of cancer?
My mother has been feeling extremely tired for months, much more than usual, and it's not going away. Could this persistent fatigue be a sign of something serious, like cancer? We are really worried.

Oh god, I completely get why you're asking this. My mind always goes to the worst-case scenario too. Fatigue *can* be a symptom of many serious things, but it's also a symptom of everyday stress and not eating well. Don't let your mind race too much, but maybe talk to a doctor to ease your worries.
Beta, don't jump to conclusions like that. Fatigue can be due to so many small things like lack of sleep, stress, or even less iron in the body. I've felt tired many times in my life, and it was never anything serious. Just try to get proper rest first.
Hey yaar, don't stress too much just by googling! Fatigue can literally be from anything. Lack of sleep, too much screen time, even not drinking enough water. Try to relax a bit, get some good sleep and see if it helps. Agar bahut zyada hai toh doc ko dikha do.
While fatigue is a non-specific symptom that can be associated with various conditions, including cancer, it's far more commonly linked to less serious issues like stress, poor diet, or inadequate sleep. It's important not to self-diagnose based on vague symptoms. Consulting a doctor for a proper evaluation is always the most prudent approach.
See, worrying won't help. First, try simple things like better sleep and food. If it persists, then a general physician visit isn't too expensive. They might suggest some basic blood tests which are also affordable. Don't jump to expensive scans directly, take it step by step.

I have thyroid issues and fatigue is a huge part of it for me. It's often misunderstood. Please don't panic, but it's always good to get some basic blood tests done, like for thyroid, iron, and Vitamin D. These can cause a lot of tiredness and are easily manageable.
If fatigue was always cancer, then half of India's working population would be in trouble, including me! Ha ha. Seriously though, it's usually just life catching up. But if it's really extreme and not going away, then yes, ek baar dikha lena achha hai.
