Is exhaustion a symptom of diabetes?

I've been feeling unusually tired and drained lately, even after a full night's sleep. My mother has diabetes, and she mentioned she felt something similar before her diagnosis. Can exhaustion really be a symptom of diabetes?

Stay calm and keep a positive mind, dear. Yes, when our body's sugar levels are out of balance, it can make us feel very drained and tired. Take care of your health and get a simple blood test done, everything will be fine once you have clarity.

In my late 40s, I used to feel incredibly sleepy and tired even after a full night's rest, which turned out to be early-stage diabetes. Once I started managing my diet and taking my doctor's prescribed meds, my energy came right back. Don't worry, it is very manageable.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! It could definitely be due to fluctuating sugar, but it is super easy to check with a quick finger-prick test at home. Just get it done so you can stop worrying and plan your next steps.

Yes, chronic fatigue is one of the classic signs of high blood sugar because your cells aren't getting the glucose they need. Get your HbA1c tested as soon as possible. If it is high, cutting down on direct sugar and walking for 30 minutes daily will show quick improvement.

My son used to be exhausted and constantly thirsty before we discovered his sugar levels were high. Keep an eye out if you are also drinking too much water or running to the washroom frequently. Please visit a general physician for a proper checkup.

Look, sitting and guessing won't help your tiredness. High sugar levels definitely cause extreme exhaustion, but so does low thyroid or vitamin D deficiency. Go to a lab, get your blood tests done, and show the reports to a doctor. Simple.

Don't ignore this fatigue, but there is no need to panic either. Just book a basic health package online that covers fasting blood sugar. It's always better to know early so we can fix our diet and get you feeling energetic again.
