Is excedrin a fever reducer?
My son has a slight fever and is feeling achy. We have some Excedrin at home for headaches. Can I give him Excedrin to bring down his fever, or is it not meant for that purpose?

Please be very careful. Excedrin has aspirin and acetaminophen, but if you have a high fever or dengue, taking certain pain relievers can cause bleeding complications, so ask a doctor first.
I always panic when I have a fever and check the ingredients of every pill twice. Excedrin contains paracetamol which brings down fever, but please don't take it without checking with a doctor first.
It has ingredients that can lower temperature, but rest and warm herbal fluids are much gentler on the body during a mild fever.
Excedrin has caffeine which might keep you awake when your body actually needs to sleep off the fever. I'd stick to a regular paracetamol so I can actually get some rest.
While taking medication to ease your body's pain is fine, take rest and let your mind remain calm. Healing comes faster when the body is at peace.
