Is eczema spreadable by touch?

My daughter has these dry, scaly patches on her arms and legs, and her friend touched her. The friend's mom got worried it might spread. I want to know, is eczema spreadable by touch? Is it contagious?

I was actually reading about this yesterday because my cousin has red patches. Turns out eczema is absolutely not contagious. You can shake hands or hug them normally, it doesn't spread by touch at all.

I have been managing eczema for five years now. My wife and kids touch me every day and none of them have ever gotten it. Just focus on keeping your skin moist and don't worry about spreading it.

Nahi babu, yeh bilkul nahi failta chhune se. Humare ghar mein bhi ek ko hai, hum sab sath hi rehte hain. Yeh to bas apni hi skin ki garmi aur dry hone ki wajah se hota hai.

It is completely non-contagious, so touch is not an issue. Save your energy and just consult a dermatologist for a proper cream. Don't waste time on overthinking this.

My 6-year-old has eczema on her knees. We play and hug all day, and nobody else in the house has caught it. It is just sensitive skin, so use mild baby soaps and keep the skin well-hydrated.

I know how frustrating it is when people look at your dry patches with doubt, but touch is safe. I tried aloe vera gel and pure coconut oil on my spots, and they helped calm the redness. Just make sure you don't scratch it till it bleeds.

It doesn't spread, so you don't need to spend on expensive isolation setups or separate soaps. Just buy a simple, budget-friendly moisturizer like petrolatum jelly first. If it doesn't get better, keep around 500-1000 rupees aside for a basic skin doctor visit.
