Is eczema inherited?

My mother always had very sensitive skin and eczema issues. Now my young daughter has developed similar dry, itchy patches. I'm starting to wonder, is eczema inherited? It seems like it might be.

Yes, eczema can absolutely be inherited! Both my mom and I have super dry skin that flares up in winter. But don't worry, with a good moisturizer and care, your skin can stay happy and glowing! 🌸

It can be inherited, yes. I noticed that my sister and I both got it from our dad. Honestly, managing it gets tricky when I crave spicy street food because junk food makes my inherited flares so much worse!

Yep, you can definitely thank your parents for this one along with your height! Eczema has a strong genetic link. It's like a family heirloom nobody actually wanted, but hey, a good doctor can help you manage it easily.

It is inherited, but please do not ignore it like I did. I knew my mother had sensitive skin, but I ignored my own dry patches until they cracked and bled. Go see a dermatologist early to save yourself the pain.

At this age, my body is inheriting all sorts of things, and eczema is one of them. My mother had it, and now my hands are always dry and itchy. Ah well, we just have to keep applying cream and carry on with life!
