Is eczema herpes?

My friend has a red rash that she thinks is eczema, but it also looks a bit like cold sores. She's really worried. Is eczema actually herpes, or are they two completely different things?

No, they are completely different. Eczema is dry, inflamed skin, while herpes is a viral infection that causes fluid-filled blisters. For eczema, keeping the skin moisturized with virgin coconut oil helps soothe it, but please get a doctor's opinion to be safe.

Absolutely not, they are not the same thing. I once tried to treat a painful rash with my cousin's old ointments without knowing what it was, and it was a total disaster. Never guess skin issues, get it checked by a dermatologist immediately.

Beta, eczema and herpes are entirely different conditions. Eczema is generally an internal heat or dryness of the skin, not a virus. You can apply a little pure aloe vera gel to cool the skin, but always consult a doctor first for proper care.

Relax, they are not the same at all. Eczema is just sensitive, dry skin that reacts to triggers, it is not a viral infection like herpes. Don't let internet searches scare you, just book a simple consultation with a skin doctor to clear your mind.

Eczema is a non-contagious skin inflammation related to immune response. Herpes is a viral infection caused by the HSV virus. My doctor emphasized that mistaking one for the other can lead to incorrect, harmful treatments, so a clinical check is crucial.

I can only speak from my own journey, but my doctor confirmed my dry itchy patches were standard eczema and definitely not viral herpes. They look and act completely differently. It is highly recommended to get a medical professional to examine it.

My ten-year-old has eczema, and I can assure you it has nothing to do with herpes. Eczema is just an allergic reaction of the skin barrier. Just focus on keeping the skin hydrated with mild moisturizers and check with your pediatrician or dermatologist.

They are totally different issues with different causes. Since herpes is viral and eczema is inflammatory, using the wrong cream can cause serious skin damage. Please go to a dermatologist to get a correct diagnosis before applying anything.

I also got super scared and searched this online once, but thankfully they are totally unrelated. Try not to stress yourself out reading scary articles. Just visit a skin doctor tomorrow so you can sleep peacefully.

Nahi nahi, bilkul alag hain dono. Eczema koi chhua-chhoot ki bimari nahi hai aur na hi herpes hai. Aap darna mat, bas kisi acche daktar ko dikha lijiye, wo sahi dawai de denge aur sab theek ho jayega.
