Is eczema a virus?

My sister has eczema, and we're always careful about contagions. I heard somewhere that skin conditions can be caused by viruses. Is eczema caused by a virus, meaning it can be contagious?

Nahi re, eczema virus nahi hai bilkul bhi. Haan na, log ghabra jaate hain dekh kar par yeh bilkul non-contagious hai. Yeh bas skin ki extreme dryness aur sensitive hone ki wajah se hota hai.

No, absolutely not. Eczema is not viral and it doesn't spread from person to person. It's an inflammatory skin condition caused by genetics or environmental triggers. You can't 'catch' it from anyone.

It is not a virus, but please be very careful. If you scratch the eczema patches, you can open up the skin and get a viral or bacterial infection on top of it, like herpes. I had to face this complication, so please consult a dermatologist for proper care.

I remember crying in college thinking people would think I have some infectious virus and avoid me. But trust me, it is not a virus and it's not contagious at all. Knowing this really helped me feel less conscious about my skin.

Suno, dimag se darr nikal do. Eczema koi virus nahi hai jo doston ko fail jayega. Yeh bas dry skin ki dikkat hai. Achha sa moisturizer lagao aur bematlab ki tension mat lo.

It is not a virus. Just keep your skin well-moisturized, especially after bathing, to prevent any dry patches.
