Is eczema a fungus?
I've been dealing with these persistent, itchy patches that my doctor diagnosed as eczema. Is eczema actually a type of fungus, and if so, should I be using anti-fungal creams for it?

In my 60 years, I have seen many people in the family suffer from skin issues. Eczema is definitely not a fungus, beta. It is just dry, hyper-sensitive skin that flares up in certain weather. Keep it hydrated with simple mustard or coconut oil, you will be fine.
Honestly, I used to think the same during my exams when my hands got all scratchy! But no, eczema is not a fungus. It's just dry skin throwing a tantrum because of stress or bad weather. Just use a heavy moisturizer, helps a lot.
No, it's not a fungus. As a diabetic, I have to be very careful with any skin irritation because we are prone to infections. Eczema is an inflammatory issue. I avoid high-sugar foods as they tend to increase inflammation in my body, which helps keep my skin clearer.

It is not a fungus. From my fitness journey, I've learned that eczema is mostly an immune response. Drinking plenty of water and eating clean, whole foods really helps control the flare-ups. Exercise helps sweat out toxins, but make sure to shower immediately so the sweat doesn't irritate the skin.

Agree with others, it is not a fungus. Try using a soap-free body wash, it really helps stop the skin from drying out further.
From what I know dealing with PCOS and skin sensitivities, eczema isn't a fungus. It's usually linked to your body's internal inflammation. I always advise people to consult a good doctor rather than guessing, as skin issues can be quite tricky to manage on our own.
