Is eating liver bad for cholesterol?

My doctor recently told me my cholesterol is a bit high. I love eating chicken liver, especially the spicy kind. I'm wondering if I should cut it down, ya it's fine sometimes? My wife says it's not good for the heart.

Yes, liver is exceptionally high in cholesterol and vitamin A. If you already have lipid issues, it is best to limit eating organ meats like liver and stick to leaner cuts of chicken or fish.

Managing my thyroid means my cholesterol levels fluctuate easily too. I had to strictly cut down on organ meats like liver after my reports came back high. Please get a proper lipid panel done and consult your doctor about your diet.

Yes, liver contains a very high amount of dietary cholesterol, so it is better to avoid it if your levels are already high.

Liver is a nutrient powerhouse, but it is true that it has high cholesterol levels. If you are active and exercising daily, eating it once in a while is fine, but don't make it a regular part of your meal prep.

It is true that liver has high cholesterol, so moderation is key. Do not worry too much, just try to eat it occasionally and keep your overall diet balanced.
