Is dry mouth a sign of diabetes?

My mother recently started complaining about constant dry mouth, no matter how much water she drinks. My brother-in-law, who has diabetes, mentioned that it could be a sign. Is dry mouth a common symptom of diabetes, or should we look for other causes?

Listen, don't stress too much! Dry mouth can happen just because you slept with the AC on or didn't drink enough water. Just hydrate first before worrying.

I had severe dry mouth and kept drinking water like crazy. Got checked and my sugars were actually high. Better to get a quick blood test done, it clears all doubts.

I woke up with a bone dry mouth last week and spent hours reading about diabetes. Turns out I was just breathing through my mouth because of a blocked nose. Hope this reassures you.

Yes, chronic dry mouth is a very common symptom of high blood sugar. But it can also be due to medication side effects. Watch out for other symptoms like frequent urination.

Garmi ke mausam me gala jaldi sookh jata hai babu. Khoob paani piyo, agar fir bhi sookha lage toh doctor sahib se jaakar jaanch karva lo.

I totally get it, seeing these symptoms online makes you worry instantly. While dry mouth is linked to diabetes, it is also caused by simple dehydration. Take a deep breath and consult your doctor.
