Is drooling in your sleep bad?

I often wake up with my pillow quite wet from drooling. My girlfriend finds it a bit gross, and I'm wondering if it's something to worry about. Is drooling in your sleep considered bad for your health, or just a normal thing?

Most of the time it is normal, but it can sometimes point to nasal passage blockage or sleep apnea. It is always safer to mention it during your next doctor visit to rule out breathing issues.

I used to feel so bad about it and constantly washed my pillowcases. But my doctor laughed and said it is just a sign that I sleep very deeply. Nothing bad about it at all!

I tried changing pillows, drinking herbal tea, and even sleeping sitting up. Honestly, just sleeping on my back and keeping my room well-ventilated helped the most. It's totally natural, don't stress.

I had this issue for years due to a deviated septum. Clear your nose before sleeping, use a slightly elevated pillow, and avoid heavy dinners. It improves a lot with these small habits.

Actually it is not bad at all yaar. When you enter deep sleep, your facial muscles relax completely. It just means you had a solid sleep after a tiring day.

Kuch bura nahi hai isme yaar. Insan thak kar soyega toh thoda laar toh tapkegi hi na. Bas side me sone ki jagah peeth ke bal soya karo, problem solved.

Try doing warm saltwater gargles before sleeping, it clears the throat and nasal passage nicely. But if you feel you are gasping for air at night, go see an ENT specialist immediately.

In our times we believed it was because of heat in the stomach. Try drinking a cup of warm milk with turmeric, or just normal water before bed. Don't worry, it is a very common thing.

I also drool sometimes when I sleep on my side. Is there a specific pillow that helps to stop this? I feel a bit embarrassed about it.

Usually harmless, but sometimes nasal congestion causes mouth breathing. I have thyroid issues and always keep a check on my breathing patterns and get my levels tested regularly. Do mention it to your doctor if you feel fatigued.
