Is drooling a sign of stroke?

My uncle recently had a stroke, and his family mentioned he was drooling a lot before it happened. Now I'm worried because sometimes I notice my father drooling a little in his sleep. Can drooling be a warning sign of a stroke, especially in older people?

Please don't panic. If it only happens when you are fast asleep, it is almost always harmless. Take a deep breath.

Usually, sleep drooling is just deep rest or maybe posture. But if it happens suddenly when awake along with any face numbness, get to a doc immediately. Keep your cardiovascular health in check with daily runs and clean food.

I always keep an eye on sudden symptoms because of my diabetes. Sudden drooling during the day is a critical red flag for stroke and needs immediate medical help. Don't ignore it if there are other signs like weak limbs.

Achanak se drooling ho na toh darr lagta hai. But sleep me normal hai. If daytime me balance issue ya speech clear nahi hai, toh doctor ke paas jana padega, ho na?

If someone is drooling suddenly while awake and has slurred speech, do not wait or try home remedies, take them to the emergency ward immediately. For basic dry throat or sleep drool, lukewarm water is fine, but sudden symptoms need a hospital.
