Is drooling a sign of good sleep?

Sometimes I wake up with drool on my pillow, and my wife teases me saying I must have been sleeping very well. Is drooling in your sleep actually a sign of deep, good quality sleep, or does it mean something else?

My pillow is damp daily, and honestly, I thought I was just extra tired from office stress. If that is a sign of deep sleep, then at least my brain is relaxing while my body falls apart!

Generally people say it is normal, but if it started suddenly or you feel choked at night, please ask your doctor. I always ask the specialists at Max hospital for anything unusual just to be sure.

Beta, deep sleep is good but sometimes minor acidity or nasal block causes this. Try sleeping on your back and maybe have a little warm water with ginger before bed. If it continues too much, show it to a family doctor.

It usually means your body got into REM sleep. I get this sometimes after a heavy evening workout and a short post-dinner walk. If you are generally feeling fit and sleeping well, it's a good sign.

Haan bilkul, deep sleep me body fully relax ho jati hai na toh drooling ho hi jati hai. Nothing to worry about, mere sath bhi aksar hota hai jab bohot thak jata hoon.
