Is drinking green tea bad for your liver?

I drink green tea every day, sometimes two to three cups, thinking it's very healthy. But my uncle, who had some liver issues, said too much green tea can be bad for the liver. Is drinking green tea really bad for your liver?

Girl, don't stress! Green tea is usually considered super healthy, not bad for the liver. It's full of antioxidants. Unless you're drinking like 10 cups a day or have a pre-existing condition, you should be totally fine. Enjoy your cuppa!

I've heard about some rare cases where *too much* green tea extract (like in supplements, not just tea) can be an issue. But regular tea? It's generally fine. Don't waste money on expensive liver tests because of general worries. Focus on a balanced diet and water. If you feel actual symptoms, then see a doctor.

My dear, green tea is a gift from nature. It cleanses and soothes. When consumed mindfully and in balance, it supports well-being, including the liver. Do not let fear cloud your judgment. Drink with gratitude, listen to your body, and maintain positivity.

Green tea in moderation is considered very beneficial. Only extreme, high doses of extracts can be problematic.

I totally understand your worry! I used to overthink everything I consumed, especially after reading conflicting articles. While green tea is generally healthy, extremely high doses of *extracts* might be an issue for some. But regular brewed green tea is usually very safe and even beneficial for the liver. Just don't overdo it.

From my experience and what I've seen on the platform, green tea is almost always praised for its health benefits, including for the liver. The only time it might be 'bad' is if you're taking super concentrated supplements or drinking many, many cups on an empty stomach. A few cups a day, brewed normally, is perfectly fine.
