Is djd arthritis?

My mother was diagnosed with DJD in her knees, and we're trying to understand more about it. Is DJD just another name for arthritis, or is it something different? We're a bit confused.

Yes, my dear, DJD is indeed a form of arthritis. It's often related to the cartilage wearing down over time. Gentle yoga postures and pranayama can sometimes help with flexibility and pain management, but please consult with your doctor before starting any new routine.

Ho na, DJD is basically osteoarthritis only. My aaji has it, and the doctor explained it's like the joints getting a bit tired with age. Regular movement helps, but not overdoing it. So take care, haan na.

Yes, DJD is essentially the same as Osteoarthritis. It's a degenerative condition, meaning it progresses over time, affecting the cartilage in your joints. Management focuses on pain relief and maintaining joint function. Your doctor can discuss options like physiotherapy or medication.

Haan beta, DJD ko gathiya bolte hain kayi baar. Yeh umar ke saath ghutno aur jodon mein dard deta hai. Doctor ko dikhao toh sahi ilaaj milega. Ghar pe thoda sa garam pani ka sek ya haldi wala doodh bhi aram de sakta hai, par doctor se puch kar hi karna.

Yes, DJD is Osteoarthritis. It's about joint wear and tear. Regular, low-impact exercise like swimming or walking can be really beneficial to keep the joints mobile and muscles strong, but always under a doctor's guidance. Don't push through pain.
