Is diabetes permanent?

My friend's mother was just diagnosed with diabetes, and she's feeling very disheartened, thinking she'll have to take medicines forever. I'm wondering if there's any hope for it to go away. Is diabetes permanent, or can it be cured sometimes?

Beta, for many, it is a lifelong condition. Once it comes, it needs continuous care. But if you control your diet strictly, do your walks, and take your medicines, it can be managed very well. My nani used to say a bit of neem and karela also helps, but always talk to the doctor first.

For most people, especially Type 1, it's a permanent condition that needs managing. But with Type 2, sometimes people can achieve remission with a lot of diet and lifestyle changes! So there's hope and good management. ✨ Keep smiling!

For Type 1, yes, it's permanent and needs lifelong insulin. For Type 2, it's generally considered chronic, meaning permanent, but some people can put it into remission with significant lifestyle changes. Don't assume anything, always consult your doctor for your specific situation.

For Type 1, yeah, it's permanent, needs insulin. For Type 2, it's considered chronic, but you can achieve remission with aggressive diet and exercise. So while technically permanent, serious lifestyle changes can make a huge difference. Never give up on working out and eating right!

In most cases, yes, it's a permanent condition that you have to live with and manage. It's not like a fever that just goes away. I tried so many home remedies alongside my medicines to keep it in control. It needs daily dedication, but you can live a full life.

I was so scared when I heard 'diabetes' because I thought it was a death sentence. But no, it's more like a permanent companion that you learn to live with. For Type 2, some people even reverse it with lifestyle changes. So it's manageable, not necessarily a life-ending thing. Don't panic like I did!
