Is diabetes a preventable disease?

My doctor recently warned me about my lifestyle and how it could lead to diabetes. I'm trying to make changes now. Is diabetes a preventable disease if I start taking care of myself properly?

For Type 2, a lot of it is preventable, yes. But it's also incredibly hard sometimes to change habits, and there's a genetic factor that feels out of your control. So while it is preventable, it's important not to blame yourself if you're struggling. It's a complex battle.

Haan, Type 2 diabetes can be largely preventable, especially if you catch it early. My Bua ji started having border-line sugar and with some simple changes like more walking, eating less maida, and a bit of neem water, she avoided full-blown diabetes. It needs discipline, but it is possible.

Type 2 diabetes, yes, largely preventable with lifestyle changes. Type 1, no, that's autoimmune. So it depends on which type you're talking about. But for Type 2, eat right, move more, and you can reduce your risk significantly. Simple as that.

For Type 2 diabetes, yes, it is largely preventable through lifestyle modifications like maintaining a healthy weight, regular physical activity, and a balanced diet. However, Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune condition and is not preventable. It's crucial to understand the distinction and consult a doctor for personalized advice.

Oh, I wish I had known this better earlier. Type 2 diabetes is very much preventable! I ignored my pre-diabetic symptoms, thinking it was nothing. Now I regret not taking action sooner. Please, if you're at risk, start making changes now and get regular checkups. It really can make a difference.

Absolutely, Type 2 diabetes is highly preventable! My health tracker actually has modules on this. Regular exercise, a balanced diet (which you can track easily!), and keeping your weight in check can significantly reduce your risk. It's about consistent healthy habits.
