Is diabetes a modifiable risk factor?

My doctor told me I need to change my lifestyle to prevent diabetes, as I'm at high risk. He used a term, 'modifiable risk factor.' Does that mean diabetes itself is a modifiable risk factor, or are there things we can change to reduce the risk?

Yes, beta, for type 2 diabetes, it definitely is modifiable. I've seen so many people in my life who made small changes and controlled their sugar. Eating less mithai, walking every morning, that's what made a difference. It's not always in our hands, but we can try our best.

Oh, absolutely! Especially type 2. It means we can actually *do* something about it, which is good news for us foodies! It's all about making smart choices with our favorite foods and maybe cutting down on those extra gulab jamuns. Small changes, big impact!

Yes, type 2 diabetes is largely a modifiable risk factor. This means your lifestyle choices can significantly impact your risk. It's encouraging to know you have some control.

Haan ji, for Type 2 diabetes, it's totally modifiable! matlab, we can change our habits to reduce the risk na. Like, eat healthy, exercise, maintain weight. It's not something you just have to accept if you make an effort. Good news hai yeh toh!

Totally! Especially for Type 2, it's a huge modifiable risk factor. That just means your diet, exercise, and weight management can make a massive difference in preventing or managing it. Don't stress too much, but small, consistent healthy habits are your best friend here!
