Is diabetes a deadly disease?

My uncle passed away due to complications from diabetes, and it has made me very scared. Is diabetes considered a deadly disease, or are the risks manageable if you take care of yourself?

While I had gestational diabetes which resolved, my doctor strongly emphasized that uncontrolled diabetes, especially Type 2, can lead to very serious and life-threatening complications over time, like heart disease or kidney failure. So yes, if neglected, it can be deadly.

Unmanaged diabetes can certainly lead to severe, life-threatening complications over time, such as heart attacks, strokes, kidney failure, and limb amputations. So, while it's manageable, dismissing it as non-deadly without proper medical attention is dangerous. Always consult a doctor for serious conditions.

Haan, agar dhyan na rakho toh bohot dangerous ho sakti hai. Sugar control na ho toh heart attack, kidney problem, aur bhi bohot kuch ho sakta hai. Isliye, proper diet, medicine aur doctor ki salah bohot zaruri hai.

Diabetes itself doesn't directly cause death in most cases, but its long-term complications can be fatal. Things like cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, and nerve damage are serious. Managing blood sugar, diet, and exercise are crucial to prevent these outcomes.

Yaar, 'deadly' is a strong word, but actually, if you don't control your sugar, the complications can definitely be fatal. Heart disease, kidney failure, these are very real risks. So, don't take it lightly, it needs proper management.
