Is diabetes a curable disease?

My grandmother keeps saying that diabetes is a lifelong problem and can't be cured. But I've heard some people talk about reversing it. Is diabetes a curable disease, or is it something you always live with?

If only! Then we wouldn't have so many uncles and aunties sneaking sweets. Haha. Unfortunately, no, it's not 'curable' in the sense that it completely goes away, but it's totally manageable, especially Type 2 with diet and lifestyle. Think of it more like a very needy pet that needs constant attention!

Ho na, generally, diabetes is not curable. It's a chronic condition, means it stays for life. But Type 2 can go into remission with very strict lifestyle changes sometimes. Type 1 is never curable. So, mostly no, not curable, but manageable.

Unfortunately, no, diabetes isn't generally considered curable in the traditional sense. But many people with Type 2 diabetes can achieve remission with major lifestyle changes, which is almost like a cure! Type 1 always needs insulin. So, it's all about management! ✨

Nah man, from what I know, it's not curable. Once you have it, you have to manage it. My grandad has Type 2 and he's been on meds and diet for ages. He just keeps it in check. So no 'cure' as such.

Yaar, actually, most doctors say it's not curable. Especially Type 1. Type 2, with super strict diet and exercise, can sometimes go into remission, matlab control mein aa jaata hai. But it's not like you take a medicine and it's gone forever. It's a lifelong management thing.

It's a big worry to think about, isn't it? Unfortunately, diabetes, especially Type 1, isn't curable. Type 2 can sometimes be put into remission with intensive lifestyle changes, but it's not truly 'gone.' It always requires vigilance. Don't let that overwhelm you, but stay very aware.

I had gestational diabetes, and after delivery, my blood sugars went back to normal, but my doctor warned me it significantly increases my risk for Type 2 later. So for me, it was temporary. But for Type 1 and Type 2, it's generally not considered curable, though Type 2 can go into remission.

While Type 1 isn't curable and requires insulin, Type 2 can sometimes achieve remission through rigorous diet and exercise, like significant weight loss. But it still needs constant monitoring. So, 'curable' isn't the right word, but 'manageable' definitely is.

Curable? If it was, my doctor would be out of business for all the diabetics! Haha. No, it's a chronic condition. You learn to live with it, manage it with diet, meds, and trying to stay sane. It's a long game.
