Is diabetes a chronic disease?

My mother was recently diagnosed with diabetes. The doctor mentioned something about it being a 'chronic' disease. Does this mean it's something she will have to manage for her entire life?

Absolutely, diabetes is classified as a chronic condition. This means it requires continuous management, often involving lifestyle changes, medication, and regular monitoring, to prevent complications and maintain health over a long period.

Haan na, diabetes toh chronic hi hai. Iska matlab hai ki it stays with you for a long time, maybe your whole life. You have to manage it daily with diet and medicines. It's not like a fever that just goes away.

Yes, it is. Chronic means it's a long-term condition that usually requires ongoing management rather than a quick cure. So, if you or someone you know has it, consistent care and following medical advice are super important.

Yes, diabetes is a chronic disease. My mother always said to be careful of sugar and jaggery because it stays with you forever. So proper diet and regular doctor check-ups are essential, there is no one-time cure.

Yep, it's chronic. That means you need to stay on top of your diet and exercise consistently, not just for a few weeks. It's a long-term commitment to health, but totally manageable if you put in the effort.
