Is diabetes 2 dangerous?

I was just diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and I'm quite worried. My friend said it's not that dangerous if managed properly, but I've heard otherwise. Is Type 2 diabetes really dangerous in the long run?

Just like thyroid, Type 2 diabetes needs consistent monitoring and lifestyle changes. If blood sugar isn't controlled, it can damage organs over time, which makes it dangerous. Regular tests and proper follow-ups with your doctor are crucial to keep it in check.

It can be really scary to get a Type 2 diabetes diagnosis, I know. And yes, it can lead to serious complications if not taken care of. But it's also very manageable with the right steps. Don't let fear paralyze you; focus on what you can control with your doctor.

Is it dangerous? Well, letting your car run on fumes is dangerous too, right? Same with your body and Type 2 diabetes if you don't 'refuel' it right and take care of the engine. But it's not a death sentence, just needs attention!

My neighbor has Type 2, and she had some foot complications because she didn't manage it well initially. But now with proper diet and meds, she's doing much better. So it needs serious attention, like any chronic condition.
