Is depression a mental health disorder?

My therapist mentioned I'm dealing with depression. I always thought it was just feeling sad. Is depression actually considered a mental health disorder by medical professionals?

Haan beta, ye ek beemari jaisa hi hai man ka. Jaise sharir bimar padta hai na, waise hi man bhi bimar ho sakta hai. Isko nazarandaaz nahi karna chahiye, achhe doctor ko dikhana chahiye aur unki baat sunni chahiye.

Just like managing diabetes requires careful attention and doctor's advice, depression is also a serious health disorder. It's not something to be taken lightly or simply wished away. It needs proper medical intervention and care, just like any physical illness. Don't self-diagnose or self-treat.

Yes, absolutely! I've been reading a lot about mental health lately, and depression is definitely a recognized mental health disorder. It's a real medical condition that affects millions of people, not just a passing sadness. It's so important for people to understand this.

Is the sky blue? Is chai awesome? Yes, and yes! Similarly, depression is very much a mental health disorder. It's not just 'feeling a bit meh.' So, if you or someone you know is going through it, remember it's serious business and needs real help, not just a 'cheer up' pep talk!

Yes, my dear, it is certainly a mental health disorder. Our elders often say to stay strong and positive, but sometimes, it is beyond just our will. For conditions like depression, it is important to trust the doctors and mental health professionals, just like we would for a physical ailment. They know best.

I tried so many things at home for what I thought was just a 'low phase,' but it got worse. Yes, depression is a genuine mental health disorder. It's not something you can just fix with home remedies. It needs professional help and understanding. Be kind to yourself and others who are struggling.

Absolutely, depression is a recognized mental health disorder. Just like my thyroid needs regular tests and medication, depression also needs proper diagnosis and treatment by professionals. It's not just a passing sadness; it's a condition that affects your brain chemistry and overall well-being. Please take it seriously and seek help.

Haan beta, ye man ki ek gambhir bimari hai. Pehle log shayad kam samajhte the, sochte the sirf chinta hai. Lekin ab toh vigyan bhi kehta hai ki ye ek disorder hai. Kabhi-kabhi ghar ke bade achhi baatein batate hain, par aise bade maslon ke liye doctor ki salah sabse zaroori hai. Nazarandaaz mat karna.
