Dengue fever is a viral infection. My mother always stresses the importance of avoiding mosquito bites during monsoon. While we value home remedies for minor things, for something like dengue, it's always best to get a proper diagnosis and treatment plan from a doctor.

Dengue fever is unequivocally a viral disease, caused by the dengue virus. It is not bacterial, which is a critical distinction as it impacts the treatment approach (antibiotics are ineffective). For any health concern, especially fever, consulting a qualified medical professional is always the most advisable course of action.

Dengue fever is viral. It's very important to understand this because taking antibiotics for a viral infection is not only useless but can also lead to other problems. I faced complications once because I didn't get proper diagnosis early. If you have fever, please see a doctor immediately for testing.

Dengue is definitely viral. That's why there's no specific cure, just symptomatic relief and supportive care. Maintaining general fitness helps overall immunity, but for dengue, the primary focus should be on prevention and, if infected, strictly following medical advice. Regular walks can wait during recovery.

I think it's viral? My friend said something about it not needing antibiotics. So it's not bacterial then? Is that why it spreads mostly by mosquitoes?

It's a viral disease, not bacterial. This is important because it means antibiotics, which are used for bacterial infections, won't work. For dengue, like for my diabetes, managing the condition properly with medical advice is crucial. Keep hydrated and follow doctor's diet advice carefully.

It's a viral fever. This means we can't just take any antibiotic. You need to get specific tests done to confirm it, like the NS1 antigen test, which can be a bit expensive but is necessary. If confirmed, focus on rest and fluids, and proper doctor consultation to avoid unnecessary costs or complications.
