Is dengue contagious?

My neighbour's child has dengue and I'm worried about my own kids. If someone in the house has it, can it spread to others easily? Is dengue contagious through casual contact?

My doctor clearly explained that dengue is not contagious from person to person. It's transmitted only through the bite of an infected Aedes mosquito. So, you won't catch it just by being around someone who has dengue. The main thing is mosquito control.

I totally get why you'd ask this, it's confusing with so many illnesses around. But no, dengue isn't contagious like a cold or flu. You can't get it from someone just by being near them. It needs a mosquito to transfer it from one person to another. So, don't worry about direct contact.

Thankfully, no! As if we don't have enough to worry about these days. Dengue isn't contagious from person to person. You need a mosquito for that. So, keep those little bloodsuckers away, and you're good. My main contagion is still just my snoring, my wife says.

No, beti, it does not spread from one person to another directly. Dengue comes only through the mosquito bite. So, no need to be scared of being near someone who has it. Just make sure there are no mosquitoes around, especially in your house. Keep water clean and covered.

Dengue is not contagious. It requires a vector – the Aedes mosquito – to transmit the virus. Direct human-to-human transmission does not occur. Focus on mosquito bite prevention to stay safe.

Nah, dengue isn't contagious. Like, you can't get it from just talking to someone who has it. It's only transmitted by mosquitoes. So the main thing is to avoid getting bitten, especially during these seasons. Carry Odomos, seriously!

Good news! Dengue isn't contagious from person to person. 😊 It's all about those pesky mosquitoes. So you can hug your friends without worry, just tell them to use mosquito repellent! Keep safe everyone! ✨
