Is dayquil good for fever?

I've been down with a fever and body aches for a couple of days. My mom suggested I take DayQuil like she does for colds. Is DayQuil effective for reducing fever?

DayQuil generally has acetaminophen, which is good for fever. It's a combination medicine for cold and flu symptoms. If you're on a budget, sometimes just plain paracetamol is cheaper for fever, and then other remedies for cough/cold. But yes, DayQuil itself helps with fever. Just ensure you're not doubling up on acetaminophen.

Is DayQuil good for fever? Good enough to knock you out so you can *sleep* through the fever, probably! Haha. It has acetaminophen, so it definitely helps reduce the temperature. It makes me drowsy, which sometimes is all you want when you have a fever. Just don't overdo the dosage.

Yes, DayQuil typically contains acetaminophen (which is paracetamol) as one of its active ingredients, and that's effective for reducing fever. It's designed to tackle multiple cold and flu symptoms simultaneously, including aches, congestion, and fever. Just make sure to check the exact formulation and adhere to the recommended dosage, especially if you're taking any other medications.
