Is date fruit good for diabetics?

I'm diabetic and trying to include more natural sweet foods in my diet instead of refined sugar. Someone recommended dates. Is date fruit good for diabetics to eat?

Dates are natural sugar, so I've always been told to be very careful. While they have fiber and nutrients, the glycemic index is high. A very small portion, like one or two, once in a while *might* be okay for some, but you absolutely have to monitor your blood sugar afterwards. It's not a 'remedy,' just a potential small treat if approved by your doctor.

For diabetics, dates have a very high sugar content, even though it's natural sugar. My son, who has diabetes, is strictly told to avoid them or have just one small piece very rarely, and always with a meal to slow absorption. Please consult a doctor or dietician for your specific case.

Dates are tricky for diabetics because they are quite high in natural sugars. Just like managing BP requires consistent monitoring, managing diabetes means being very careful with sugar intake. While dates have fiber and nutrients, they can spike blood sugar. It's best to discuss with your doctor or dietitian if and how many you can have.

Dates are very मीठा (sweet), ho na? So for diabetics, it is usually not good in large quantities. A very small one sometimes might be okay, but it's best to ask your doctor. They know best what is safe for your body.

Dates are very sweet, so for diabetics, they should be eaten with extreme caution and only after doctor's advice.

I often overthink about which foods are safe. Dates, despite being natural, are quite high in sugar and have a high glycemic index. So for diabetics, they can cause blood sugar spikes. It's really important to talk to your doctor or a dietician about any fruit, including dates, to understand safe portions for you.

Yaar, dates are super sweet, right? Like natural goli. So for diabetics, you have to be super careful. Actually, my doc told me to avoid them or just have half a date, and that too on rare occasions. They spike sugar quickly.
