Is dandruff yellow?

My scalp feels oily and I'm seeing yellow flakes, not the white ones I used to get sometimes. Does dandruff always look yellow, or is it different for everyone?

Sometimes, yes, it can be a bit yellowish, especially if your scalp is oily. It's not always just white flakes. Don't worry too much, bachcha. It's a common thing, just means you need a good shampoo to clean the scalp properly.

Mostly white, but if it's yellow and greasy, it's often a sign of seborrheic dermatitis. This is different from dry scalp dandruff. It's always best to get it checked by a doctor to confirm and get the right treatment, just to be safe.

Dandruff can be yellowish, particularly if it's oily or associated with a fungal overgrowth, like seborrheic dermatitis. Like managing diabetes, it's about understanding the specific cause to manage it effectively. A dermatologist can guide you on the right treatment.

Haan, it can be yellow! Mine used to be like that, especially when I didn't wash my hair regularly enough. That means it's usually an oilier, fungal type of dandruff. A good anti-fungal shampoo, used consistently, will help a lot. Don't expect magic overnight though, take time.

Sometimes it is white, like dry skin, na? But if it's a bit oily and yellow, that can also be dandruff. Don't worry, many people have it. Just try to keep your hair clean and ask a doctor what shampoo is best. It will get better.

Yeah, it definitely can be yellow and sometimes it even feels greasy. I used to be so self-conscious about it, thinking everyone was staring at my hair. It's tough when you feel like that. But once I got the right treatment, it made such a difference. You're not alone.
