Is crying good for you mental health?

Been feeling a bit low lately, and sometimes after a good cry, I actually feel a bit lighter. My friend told me it's good for mental health, but I wanted to check if there's any truth to it.

Honestly, yes. Whenever exams get too stressful or things go wrong, a good cry in my room just resets my brain. It feels like a literal weight gets lifted off, so don't hold it back yaar.

It is actually very natural and lets out all the pent-up tension. I always feel better after crying, followed by a warm cup of chamomile tea or just washing my face with cold water. But look, if you are feeling constantly sad or crying every single day without knowing why, please talk to a professional counselor.

Absolutely, it is 100% healthy. It is just your body's way of releasing heavy emotional pressure.

I used to bottle everything up thinking crying makes me look weak, which just made my anxiety worse. Last year during a tough phase, I finally let myself cry whenever I felt overwhelmed. Honestly, accepting my emotions instead of fighting them made a huge difference in my healing process.

A good crying session is basically a free spa day for your soul, plus your eyes get washed for free. Don't worry about looking like a drama king or queen, just grab some tissues and let the waterworks flow!
