I hope you are doing fine. Cranberry juice is actually not ideal for preventing kidney stones because it contains high levels of oxalates, which can sometimes form stones. Drinking plain, filtered water is much safer and highly recommended.

I love drinking juices, but cranberry is a big no-no if you are prone to kidney stones. Most urologists will tell you that the oxalate content in it might actually trigger stone formation. If you want a tasty preventive drink, fresh lime water without sugar is a much better choice!

I tried drinking various fruit juices to resolve my kidney stone issues and ended up with severe pain and a blocked ureter. Please don't experiment with cranberry juice on your own. Go to a urologist, get an ultrasound, and find out exactly what type of stones you have.

Actually, cranberry juice can increase the risk of certain kidney stones due to oxalates. Stick to plenty of plain water.

Having dealt with recurring kidney stones myself, I can tell you that cranberry juice didn't help me at all. My doctor explained that it can actually promote oxalate stones. What actually worked for me was drinking 3 liters of normal water daily and reducing sodium in my food.
