Is cranberry good for kidney stones?

My cousin recently had kidney stones, and someone at home suggested drinking cranberry juice. I also tend to get stones sometimes, so I'm curious. Is cranberry actually good for kidney stones, or is it just a home remedy?

Look, cranberry is mostly used to prevent UTIs, not to dissolve kidney stones. For stones, you need to drink lots of plain water and consult a doctor to see what type of stone it is.

Actually cranberry juice sweet wala pine se kuch nahi hoga yaar, it has too much sugar. Plain water is best for stones. If it is paining too much, go to the doctor directly.

Actually, some studies show cranberry juice contains oxalates, which might make calcium oxalate stones worse if you drink too much. I track my daily water intake on my fitness app, and keeping hydrated is the most proven way to flush them out.

Cranberry has some health benefits but its role in kidney stones is highly debated because of its oxalate content. It is best to consult a urologist who can guide you based on your specific medical history.

Agree with others, it's not a cure. Barley water or lemon water is much better and safer for kidney stones.

Hey, don't stress too much about finding exotic remedies. Just drink your normal 3 liters of water every day and go see a doctor to get an ultrasound done. It is the easiest way to handle it!
