Is covid contagious without a fever?

My wife tested positive for Covid, but she has no fever, just a bit of a sore throat. We have young kids at home, and I'm trying to understand the risk. Is Covid contagious without a fever?

Yes, completely agree. Many people only get a mild sore throat or body ache but can still easily pass the virus to others.

Yes, it is contagious. As a diabetic, I have to be extremely careful because even an asymptomatic infection can fluctuate my blood sugar levels. Please keep checking your vitals if you are exposed.

Yes, it is. I tracked my oxygen levels and heart rate on my smartwatch when I was positive with zero fever, and my resting heart rate was still elevated. Use a pulse oximeter regularly even if you feel completely fine.

Yes, you can spread it without a fever. Focus on drinking warm kadha and eating light, home-cooked vegetarian meals to boost your recovery process while you stay isolated.

I was just reading some articles on this today. It turns out viral shedding is quite high even in the pre-symptomatic phase, so yes, you can definitely transmit it without showing any fever at all.
