Is cottage cheese good for fatty liver?

My doctor told me I have a fatty liver and advised me to change my diet. I was wondering if cottage cheese, which is high in protein, could be a good option or if I should avoid it. Is cottage cheese good for fatty liver?

I freaked out completely when my ultrasound showed Grade 1 fatty liver last year. But my doctor calmed me down and said it's highly reversible with diet. I started eating low-fat cottage cheese for protein, and my reports came back totally normal in six months, so don't worry too much.

Yes, low-fat paneer is actually quite good! It has amino acids that help protect the liver from fat accumulation. Just make sure to eat it grilled or boiled, and skip the heavy butter gravy. Stay positive, you can easily manage this! 😊

I have shared advice with many members on liver health here. Low-fat cottage cheese contains whey protein, which research suggests can help mitigate fatty liver issues. Make it a habit to combine it with daily physical exercise and lots of leafy greens for the best results.

Fatty liver is a condition that should not be taken lightly as it can progress if ignored. While cottage cheese is generally low in carbs, you must consult your doctor to understand your specific liver enzyme levels. Please get an LFT test done before changing your diet drastically.

I know how scary it feels when you get diagnosed with fatty liver, I cried for days thinking my liver was failing. It is a really stressful phase, but making small food changes like adding fresh, low-fat cottage cheese really helped me feel in control. You are not alone in this, hang in there.
