Is cortizone 10 good for eczema?

My toddler has a few patches of eczema that get really dry and red. My pediatrician mentioned cortizone 10, but I'm a bit hesitant about putting strong creams on his skin. Is it a good and safe option for eczema?

Honestly, Cortizone 10 helped me so much during my exam stress when my eczema flared up. It stops the itching almost instantly. But don't use it forever, just a couple of days is enough.

Unless you want skin as thin as a single sheet of paper, don't overuse it! It is great for emergencies when you want to stop scratching like crazy, but let a doctor decide the timeline.

I have dealt with eczema for ten years. Cortizone 10 is an over-the-counter mild steroid that works well for minor flare-ups. My tip is to apply it in a very thin layer only on active red patches, and never on your face without asking a dermatologist.

Our bodies sometimes react to stress through the skin. Cortizone 10 can help heal the physical itch, but also try to keep your mind calm with gentle breathing. Take care and stay positive.

While buying Cortizone 10 or similar creams online seems cheap, self-treating eczema can lead to complications. Saving money on a doctor's fee isn't worth risking worse skin damage. Better to get a professional prescription.
